This Entry is fairly broad in scope but covers some people and events that I feel relate to interplanetary travel, the projects we have undertaken and are planning for the future! I personally am interested in public space flight, though it should be done very carefully. The Primary Directive should be considered a good non-fiction concept. I fear cross contamination and the introduction of non indigenous species are very real when it comes to space flight.

More than anything i want to keep it fun!!!

I like the idea of an article explaining how we could fly on the moon. You could focus your piece on that. I wouldn't worry too much about the Wright Bros - they have their own entry already.

I don't know much about the physics of flight but considering the very low gravity it doesn't seem unlikely that it could work. I think I'll trim it down to the more fantastic Moon base idea though I don't know where that would fit in the Guide. (any ideas for a better title?)

Some ideas I had for Edited Guide Entrys would be hang gliding, parachutes, blimps, etc.

I tend to get sidetracked with other thoughts; the mars thing while talking about the moon is a good example. I think space exploration would be good for all of us, but I think the USA is tacking in the wrong direction by going directly to mars instead of beginning with a long term lunar projection.

Assuming that there must be other life in the universe, I don't imagine that they would approve of our throwing our *stuff* out of the solar system without a fuller understanding of what we are actually doing.

It will take a peacefully coordinated effort of our people to venture off this planet. It shouldn't be a race or status thing, nor should it be about religion or power. I think it should be fun for people of all ages! There are too many ways to divide the people of this planet, we need a way to bring people together and be happy.

There will be a list of do's and don't's, and one will be
NO SPITTING!
