I've done what I can
To make my verse scan
And rhyme, as a rimickle should
But if you still think they're no good ~Recumbentman

Lovely lovely stuff. Thank you very much for putting it in the AWW.
I can get very theoretical about stuff, and not only is this fun and entertaining and thoughtful, but it also reflects the nature of the site incredibly well, as entries which come out of threads can do.
Roll up! Roll up! Read your lovely Rimickles here! Get 'em while they are nice and rimicly.

Ben's right, and it would be good to do something with these either CAC Continuum or UnderGuidewise.
I think an UnderGuide piece could be made of it with some reorganising to be more easily understood by people unfamiliar with the thread - as in putting the history of the rimickle and the desciption of it at the beginning rather than the end. Sort of turning it into a piece about rimickles as well as a collection of rimickles.
Thanks for the read, and they're still perfectly fresh and rimicly despite being buried in the depths of the AWW for months.

Thank you Waz. Actually as originally entered the history bit was at the start, and I moved it to the end last month because I thought it would be less in the way there.

ah, right. I guess it depends whether the entry is intended to be a collection of Rimickles or an entry about Rimickles. It sounds like you had the former in mind? I assumed the latter.
I wasn't familiar with them, read a few, realised they were in sections and scrolled down to see what there was. And found the explanation and history. And thought .
In some ways the explanation coming later could be better as it leaves readers not in the know wondering what on earth's going on as they struggle with the scansion that's oddly familiar but keeps throwing them.

Good -- that sounds about right!

Slight tweak. I've put a link via footnote at the start, to get you to the history bit.

But not directly. Oh I like that. And you've given me an idea.

Now you mention it there is - saw it the other day but haven't looked at the code to see how it was done. It was on A1103329 if you want to have a look. The table of contents links to sections on the same page.
I do like your method though.

Ah yes. Did a test and found out how. But I'll leave the two-step in place, as you like it. I like it too.
