That was honest. You know a sad thing is you would probably make an even better landlord now. I hope you find something you enjoy doing even better.

Sorry for the late reply, was off ill yesterday and I only have net access at work. Thanks for the compliments about the entry.
Actually I'm working in an office for an agency now. Not as exciting but it pays the bills. I'm thinking about getting into the pub trade again but I would prefer to stay closer to home this time. And as far as I know, I'll not be able to be a landlord till my conviction is spent (2 years) I can still go into pub management (ie without being the landlord) but there aren't many places round here recruiting at the mo.

Good luck with. Sometimes the most valuable life-lessons come out of the most dramatic events.
Moving back to the entry - I like it - what do other people think?

though looking at the title, shouldn't it read either "Being Convicted of Drinking and Driving- an Honest Account" or "Being conviced of drunk driving - an Honest Account" ?

come to think of it, not to be picky, but it doesn't really focus of being convicted you say little about the legal aspect

There was a young man of Japan
Who's limericks never would scan
When they asked him 'Why?'
He would only reply:
'Well you see I always try to get as much information into the last line as I possibly can'.

One for the road. I like that. If I can't think of anything soon, do you mind if I use that?

I read this a while ago and enjoyed it then, thanks for dragging it up from the pit Kiltey.
I particularly approve of the tone. Not at all self pitying but filled with regret.
A solid cautionary tale and worthy of the UnderGuide I think.

I liked it too. I notice I didn't actually say so before, which was daft, so I'm saying so now.
