this is something i wrote one day when i'd forgotten the wording for looking at code on people's perso-spaces.
I think it's very useful advice, and sometimes link to it for newbies in PR so they can pinch some formatting from an edited entry.
equally, it is great for getting started making u-spaces a bit more 'perso'! 
i've never really thought it should be in the EG, but looking at the 'all about h2g2' section now advertised in the 'everything' section on the Front Page', i'm not so sure...
any thoughts?

Spiffy stuff Spiff. I would find it more useful if it included the words 'test' and 'entries' or 'pages' somewhere in its title. It would make it easier to search for too.
Do you really think it is EG or UG material though? I know you are big enough and bad enough to take it on the chin if I say that I have my doubts. As you say, this is already covered in the FAQs, though I can confirm from personal experience that it is almost impossible to find it in there.

I could've used this a few months ago... when I wanted to see another person's PS code, I had to trawl through their MAlist until I found their page, and then tested it.
*grumbles about wishing he'd read this earlier*

hmm, i had decided not to comment on this, in a bid to let it drift down off the first page of the AWW and on towards the dark recesses thereafter.
but since it's at the top of the list again now anyhoos...
Funnily enough, The Snockerty Friddle has a similar entry, called the Thief's guide to Guide ML, which comes top of the list of search results for most of the variations i've tried; mine never appears anywhere! 
This may be coz i stuck the ML on the end of the word Guide and it therefore doesn't get recognised by the search engine... or not... i haven't the bleariest.
As to keeping stumm about advice on nicking things,

Actually it worked quite well. It was the last entry in the AWW to be commented on I generally bump those up to the top immediately
