You say that he was found in the Ritz-Carlton - but in which city? I thought it was Sydney but was it London?

I liked the entry - I jumped to it from the Paula Y entry on today's front page. A lot of it is news to me and it didn't read like a trashy life at all. I listed to INXS (nearly everybody in the Antipodes did) but I missed a lot of the gossip because we didn't get much London tabloid journalism in Australia until recently (This is changing: Murdoch has a lot to answer for).

Thanks smiley - smiley
Yes, it was Sydney.

I'll put "Sydney" in after the hotel name, as it's not very clear.

Is it worth mentioning that INXS is now hosting a reality tv show in order to find Hutchence's successor?

That *was* mentioned in the backlog, by EV if I recall.smiley - smiley

One more accentor and I'll include it...

Is it worth mentioning that or is it worth writing an EG article on INXS (seeing as they've had god knows how many frontmen after Hutchence. And even while Hutchence was alive.)

If the INXS article isn't forthcoming smiley - winkeye, I think a small footnote is worthwhile.

I'd write it if I thought I was qualified, which I'm definitely not. I just saw a couple episodes of the show.

INXS have toured with other singers since Hutchence's death, and are currently involved in a Pop Idol-style reality TV show to try and find a permanent replacement. Rock Star: INXS, the Foxtel reality show in which Australian rock band INXS is searching for a new vocalist, is currently in its final stages, down to the final three. Mig Ayesa, who was born in the Philippines but moved to Sydney with his family when he was two and now lives in London, is hoping to win the competition along with Canadian entertainer JD Fortune and American Marty Casey, in next week's grand finale. Mig Ayesa has been a consistent favourite right through the contest, and is expected to win.

There you go then, more than a footnote.

Problem is, it'll need updating next weeksmiley - ermso maybe you'll keep me informed, EMR?smiley - biggrin

I don't have TV here; I watched a few episodes some weeks ago when I was visiting my grandfather (who does). But I'll Google it and let you know what happens. I think Mig is probably going to win.

A former homeless musician, J.D. Fortune, has been named the new frontman of Australian rock group INXS, filling the shoes of late singer Michael Hutchence.

Updating the entry now.

Yup, I was just about to point that out. Unfortunate, really. He was such a complete and utter b*****d and was incredibly mean and petty to the other contestants.smiley - sadface
