What connects..?
Geggs Posted Apr 27, 2007
I know what those names are. They are Basil Brush's straight men. Mr Rodney was actually Rodney Bewes.
I am completely incapable of setting one of these, though. Please fell free to continue without me.

Geggs
Okay, this is what you'd call a 'straight' question I suppose.
What connects
Maris Crane
Sheridan Bucket (pron. Bouquet)
Ugly Naked Guy
Mrs Petersen
The Fallen Madonna With The Big Boobies?
What connects..?
Geggs Posted Apr 27, 2007
You could add Mrs Mainwaring to that list, I think.

Never seen, but mentioned on their respective tv programmes.
Although technically, we did once see Ugly Naked Guy's belly.

Assuming myself and Geggs were right and given he doesn't want to set a question here we go.
What connects:
- molybdenum
- the Gutenburg Bible
- a Marathon, and
- Sunnydale?
What connects..?
boredlaura Posted Apr 30, 2007
Okay, no answers yet. Let's help that along a bit.
Also connected are:
- the game of Risk, and
- the person formally known as Geoff Busker.
What connects..?
Icy North Posted Apr 30, 2007
Hi Laura - it's probably 42.
Molybdenum has atomic number 42.
The Marathon race is 42 km long (rounded).
The Gutenberg bible had 42 lines per page.
Wiki tells me that in the television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, there are 42 churches in Sunnydale. (Wow - never knew that! )
Can I just say that Basil Brush was indeed the correct answer earlier. The last two names were Howard (Keel) and Billy (Crystal).
I'll think of another...
What connects..?
boredlaura Posted Apr 30, 2007
42 it was.
I had all the names of the last one, but couldn't see the connection!

Mr Harman,

a 1980s England wicket-keeper, and
a Pakistani leg-spinner.

Not sure about the cricketers but Raquel Welch was the actress in Fantastic Voyage.
What connects..?
Researcher U197087 Posted Apr 30, 2007
Okay, I've got 3 of them;
Arthur English was Mr Harman in Are You Being Served?
Raquel Welch as previously described
Bruce French was a wicket-keeper in the 80s...
European nations/6 Nations nations?
Don't know about the Pakistani player.
What connects..?
Icy North Posted Apr 30, 2007
Yes, nationalities or languages will do.
The last one was Danish Kaneira, currently Pakistan's best spinner.
Over to you...

boredlaura Posted May 2, 2007
I think the link is Nero, but I can't quite explain it for all of them.
What connects..?
Researcher U197087 Posted May 3, 2007
Well you're obviously suffering intensely, so I'll pimp it a little further.
