Ring tones are a personal thing, and while I think mine are really amusing, I know for a fact they get on other peoples nerves

Definitely a basis for an interesting article, this. Though I think the interest for me would come more from drawing out the detail of what accessory choices say of the choosers, rather than the 'must do' angle. 'Must do' is too easy to answer.
My mobile rings like a cricket, and announces its got a text message for me by going off like a firework. The rocket kind. Without the bang at the end. In the distance. In fact, it goes off like a damp squib. It sounds almost apologetic, as it should, for interrupting.
I didn't want a mobile, I was given it as a present and confess I was won over by its very pretty, red, metallic cover, as the person choosing it knew I would be. The original cover was a business like black.
