Cryptic Clues
Recumbentman Posted Dec 4, 2012
Hm not warty pate then? Or Watery Tap, obviously not. Perhaps it's not a nanagram.
Small Beer?
Cryptic Clues
Recumbentman Posted Dec 4, 2012
All right then
Pooh pooh a petty war picture (5,4)
< thinks very hard >
Cryptic Clues
Recumbentman Posted Dec 4, 2012
Of course; Teddy Bear
Can't quite relate that to the clue, but it surely is Pooh

Wyatt Earp
Yes you sure can hide them anagrams. Why is he Pooh pooh?
Cryptic Clues
Rudest Elf Posted Dec 5, 2012
I've been posting mainly anagram clues lately in an effort to attract fresh blood. So, taking so much trouble to obscure them is somewhat dumb of me.
('Pooh pooh' is on a substantial list of anagram indicators I found recently.)

Recumbentman Posted Dec 5, 2012
I do hate substantial lists. They include the most unlikely things.
OK, fresh blood, I know you're lurking there, answer this (no elves need apply):
Rich masts obscure feast (9)
Cryptic Clues
Rudest Elf Posted Dec 5, 2012
As an anagram indicator - meaning dispute, reject, explode, etc - pooh-pooh is not to be sniffed at!
Cryptic Clues
Recumbentman Posted Dec 6, 2012
No, I don't like sniffing at pooh pooh, but thanks for the hint; I will henceforth be more suspicious of disputes, rejections, explosions and all modes of refusal and disassembly.

The lack of response to, 'Rich masts obscure feast (9)', suggests something more challenging might appeal more.
This one is anagram based:
Hold in contempt plastic prototypes (9)
[No one is excluded from responding, no matter how high they fly or how low they lie.]

Well that's three hanging.
Like baubles on a tree.
I'll be back to tidy up after the feast.

I think the answer to this is 'Ivories'
Sorry, don't have any clues ay the moment, but happy to try more questions!
Cryptic Clues
Rudest Elf Posted Jan 4, 2013
Good to see you here, Nick_Em.
Body parts in harmony? (7)
'Ivories' makes a lot of sense, but it's not that. Here's another letter: I _ _ T _ _ _
You might like to solve this one first:
Rich masts obscure feast (9)
Cryptic Clues
Nick_Em (not_him) Posted Jan 5, 2013
Ah, damn. I was thinking bones, thus 'ebonies' and 'harmony' was a reference to the song - thus getting ivories, especially since bones are white.
Hopefully I've got your second one:
Christmas

Rudest Elf Posted Jan 5, 2013
'Christmas' was set by Recumbentman. It's bound to be the correct solution , so you can either set one of your own... or have another look at Body parts in harmony.
By the way, the question mark suggests a certain playfulness in the answer should be expected...
Body parts in harmony? (7)
I _ _ T E _ _

Cool
I don't have another one to set at the moment, so I might have a go at the 'body parts in harmony?'
Is the answer
'Insteps'?
