Yep, did a TV diet program. It was fun, but a bit of a hassle - am glad it is over!

(Not so) Petty Hate: Filling out the forms for a new house only to find that it had already been let by another agent WHO HADN'T BOTHERED TO TELL ANYONE AS THE PROSPECTIVE TENANT COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO FILL OUT THE FORMS ON THE SPOT... I don't care what kind of verbal agreement was involved, we filled out our forms first so by rights the house should be ours.

Having to attend after-work drinks in a pub. I'm driving so will just have to sip at diet coke for the minimum amount of time possible to be polite before making my excuses and leaving.

Such a chore

Yeah, everyone complains about me not socialising with my workmates, but the public transport I'd have to use to get home if I had a drink is terrible. I don't drink coke, I just bluntly refuse.

Adverts involving Thierry Henry and those Actimel adverts. They just annoy the life out of me

L.Casei Immunitas? Pah! I have been reliably informed (by a very good friend who has a degree in biology) that L.Casei naturally occurs in yoghurt and cannot survive in the stomach and Immunitas is just an extra word tacked onto the end so the company could trademark it.

Hah, I knew it. Well I didn't know it exactly but I've thought for a very long time that these adds were making it up as they go along. My favoutite is Boswelox(sp?)
Although I have to say, I think the little girl in the Petit Filou ads is more annoying.

Any pseudo-science in adverts bugs me...
"Fruit-oil Technology" Wow, you've noticed that citrus oils are good cleansers. Well, you and millions of your ancestors, mate.
"Micro-Dermabrastion" Isn't this a posh way of saying exfoliating?

Err... I can't think of anymore right now, there are loads out there but my mind's gone blank.

I don't mind the technobabble, I know it's rubbish, I just hate the actual adverts, with some woman making a prat out of herself with that annoying 'nah nah nah ner' noise in that background

In fact, those adverts a a load of Boswelox!

I hate the KFC ad where the guy asks for some of the girl's food by singing and then she sings a long sequence of notes then says curtly 'no'. Someone is trying soooo hard to be funny.

Surely everyone knows where that idea is ripped off from? The 'alright on the night' sketch where the guy is interpreting for a foreigner, the foreigner's anwer to a question is long winded and the interpreter just replies 'no'.

All adverts for American Fast Food where they send someone off to look at British comedy programmes of the last twenty years or so then produce a weak reproduction in the misguided belief they'll become funny by association and no one will notice.

Take your pick, really ... There's one at the moment, people instead of wildebeeste out on the savannnah, which is a direct rip-off of a 'Big Train' sketch. Viz's 'Top Tips', which McDysentery stole. Etc.

Besides, it was for PlayStation which isn't fast food. Nor is it American.

A new and very petty hate - the way you get the same amount of soy sauce with as king-size Pot Noodle as you do with a normal Pot Noodle. It's nearly twice as big, you need much more soy sauce

Now *that* is what this thread is all about

Similar to honestlago's complaint is something that happens in most chip shops when you 'eat in': if you ask for a plate of chips you get a plate full of chips, but if you ask for pie and chips they give you less chips to make space for the pie.

I actually find the amount of soy sauce given is perfect for a King Pot. There's too much for my taste in a normal one.

My current petty hate: The fact that Crazy Frog has started appearing on the radio.
