Hi, I'd like it if this could be reviewed, please... it is simple, yet to the point!

Gnomon - time to move on

Firstly, it's "groove", not "grove".

Secondly, you put this into GuideML, but you never added in all the tags that make it readable. You'll have to put at the start of each paragraph and at the end of the paragraph. Put at the end of each line in the list. Then people might be able to read what you have written.

This looks very much like a 'zombie entry'.

It's dead and the author has unsubscribed but Scouts can't remove it from a review forum because the author is still around. So, no progress is made and the '2 months offline rule' can't be applied. This here entry looks like a living, er... sorry, *un-dead* example smiley - sadface

I fluffily propose to have this thread moved back to the entry smiley - smiley

I'm bored with fluffy - I second it in a furry manner smiley - tongueout

No, not at all. There's a lot of good information here. With music styles diverging and mixing all the time it's no longer a case of 'pop', 'rock' and 'metal', and you have taken the time to classify many different styles and to give an example of what group does what. That's a good thing. However, there's still a lot of work to do before this goes into the Edited Guide. smiley - smiley

I suggest you try and write a more substantial introduction to give the reader a stronger flavour for your subject matter. You know, a little bit more about the history of music styles and why they've become so divergent, etc. It needn't be too heavy - it's just that a better introduction would make the entry more approachable. Secondly, and this is the clincher in my opinion, why don't you write a couple of lines about each style. Maybe put each style in a header tag then go on to describe this sound and then give your example of the band that plays this kind of music. For example:

Trip Hop

Trip Hop is a slower style of techno music that came out in the early nineties characterised by a dark, deep, 'scary' vibe (*I'm making this up by the way*) sometimes called the Bristol sound because of the famous Trip Hop artists that come from that area.

Trip Hop Artists and Recommended Albums

Portishead - Portishead
Massive Attack - Blue Lines

Adopt this kind of style for the information you've already researched and you'll find that you'll have a potentially excellent entry on your hands! Good luck.
