well I've started the course....
lessons so far haven't been much to worry about,
Wednesday is a class named "principles of care"
where we look at the different organisations that look after the people who look after us and find out the rules and regulations and other things I'm sure it will make more sense in a few more weeks
Thursday - Human Physiology, I've just ordered some second hand books from amazon, some of its very basic and considering I already have a higher in biology I don't expect it to get difficult very quickly but hopefully it will go into some detail about the bits that keep humans alive...
Friday - study techniques - basically how to study... plus filling in ucas forms for next year helping us with cvs and personal statements and interview practice, and a few power point presentations.... not to be sniffed at I guess but right now it seems a bit... like I could find a better use for my time but I'm sure it will be helpful eventually...
so after forcing myself out of bed at 6.30 getting dressed and on the train an hour later and getting to lancaster by about 8.30ish and even if i stop for hot chocolate from the evil seller of take away hot drinks that still gets me to college with half an hour to waste till class starts which isnt too bad if i've remembered to pick up a newspaper at the train station,
I'd never noticed before (well I probably had but not as strongly) how Filthy utterly utterly disgusting trains are, so I've been tweeting to northern rail who surprisingly have been answering me but probably still wont do anything and those trains are only marginally more filth coated than virgin and first TransPennine, although the one i was on last night looked like the inside was held together with masking tape and at one point it started to shake so badly i thought it just might be. plus the horrendous screeching noise they make as they stop, I've heard trains stop much more quietly so I know it isn't necessary... but as long as you can force the public to use them I guess....

You probably won't notice after a few times. Until it comes to the stage where you'll miss it if it's not there (the noise, the filth)

you have started your course
and it sounds like you are settling in well.
The trains sound a bit ick, but I expect as the homework starts rolling in you will be able to distract yourself with that if you have time to get your notes out
or use it as thinking time, maybe
that screech is horrible noise though *ouch*
Have you met any interesting new people on your course?
