Now look here young kris, I thank you for your kind considerations but I am quite happy here building creations which I then surrect and release upon unsuspecting messageboards the width and breadth of the internet.
By the way, I would do something with your keyboard, it appears to be placing spurious metacharacters into your text which then appear as glyphs.

it isnt safe to get too comfy, there is a danger of permanent somnambulism which can lead to mental embolism and make you infarct 'n olfarct.
y'need a young 'un like me around to supporate the sacs of senility and release the youth of creativity.

creak .. stretch .. well young kris me doodle .. perhaps you are right and I do need to get about more .. indeed you may have inadvertently provided the breath of oxygen that I require to break free of this laboratory in which I have been incarcerated for so many years .. ah yesss .. feel those red blood cells with their newly found oxygen rich colour, better to be careful not to carry too much or some may leak and cause an embolism, no chance of a mycardial infarction now.
I'm off to Swildens this weekend cave diving sumps one through three, want to come along?

i suppose it is a mean temperature underground as in always cold and usually wet. i spect that is no bother due to thermogenetic nature of said activity.
i am trying to imagine what you might mean mister ol new reborn codgie, i have only ever heard of an oil sump. i am always interested to try something challenging that i havent experienced before. i think i have had lots of dreams about being in caves....does that count.....does it mean sumpthing???

kris ..I am afraid that the speliological expedition failed to take place, disaster on the boat (mains charger becoming decidedly grumpy, pouring out smoke and finally packing its case heading off for the great resting place for electrical consumer goods in the sky) meant that I spent the whole weekend grappling with circuitry and other mysteries of the twelve volt world.
nb a sump, in the underground world of a cave diver, is a passage that is completely flooded, requiring either a bit of breath holding to get through or, in longer tunnels, adoption of the full regalia of the brainchild of Emile and Jacques.

hello again mister
sorry i bin gone so long but i have ben trying to find the spelilogical word. no luck but i did pop over to the grandiloquent dictionary.
i expect on your speliological expidishuns you are often left temporarily shistaceous, a little sophrosyne
would be in order there perhaps, dont get me wrong, i am not snurling at the sport. this is after all just a little sciamachy using sphallolalia until a timely sgriob turns your attention to the sideboard.

Well young turk, you certainly have hoist an old 'un on his own petard, without recourse to Websters's I haven't a clue as to your meaning, but hell .. who needs meaning when you have pretty words.

hey - young people and old people come from the same place y'know....
i will now, in a spirit of utter graciousness (as opposed to harbouring a cynical presupposition of correspondent's inherent laziness) translate beautiful words for you.
shistaceous - a condition of the skin either slate coloured or livid
saphrosyne - quality of wise and moderate good taste
snurling - turning the nose up in scorn
sciamachy - shadow boxing
sphallolalia - flirtatious talk that leads nowhere
sgriob - the itchiness of the upper lip before taking a sip of whisky
now will you please say what spelliological means mister??

Speliology, sometimes spelt spelaeology, the study of underground spaces and fissures. Your suspicions as to my inherent laziness are entirely justified and I thank you heartily for pandering to my weakness.
Who are you kris of a thousand names? what do you do?

it sounds like a charming and wonderful life you lead. i cant see one bit of tedium listed
one of my friends began a 10 year project some 5 years back on an 80' baltic freighter/barge, a long, involved and 'esoterically woody' matter.
so is it ok if i come and cheek you off when i need to be rude and cheeky to someone mister?

Perhaps I should have mentioned having to work as a Project Manager .. that is tedium. Perfectly alright to come and cheek me off as often as you like, indeed .. if you have any chums who are being altogether too free and spritely just set me onto them and I will curmudgeon them into desperation .. or even, we could go play "Knock down Ginger" on some unsuspecting messageboard.
Your friends project sounds wonderful, five years into a ten year project .. only fifteen to go then.

thanks mister, i appreciate that.
i would love to come and play a game of knock down ginger. you will need to tell me what it means and how to play. (as long as it wont make anyone feel small or cry )
my friends would love to meet u i am sure. if you click onto my name you will find a conversation entitled "is this" that is where we plot n plan and go raiding boards. (i am sure i saw you turn up there once didnt i??)
ps the pictures are for your senile bits

I say trk, you are quite right I have dropped in on occasion on the Is This thread, indeed, I dropped in today to discover you talking about listening to Radio 2, what a let down, I had you pinned as a street wise, possibly skating dude/ette with baggy trousers and a fashionable disregard for stucture within language .. now I find you have a cardigan.
"Knock down Ginger" - Run up to grown-ups front door, ring bell and run away to hide round corner whilst observing front door, dissolve into paroxyms of giggles as grown-up answers the door to no one. I'm still playing a version of this on the boards.

'scuse me mister
radio two was on because i had a guest who requested it. < it was the first time i had listened in years. i do not ever wear cardigans but actually prefer figure hugging lowcut cleavage revealing tight round the arse outfits different usages of rhetoric and style are a part of my way. sometimes i am serious but mostly i take the piss. i don't skate but i do lots of other cool dudette type things.
lastly, that game was always one of my faves cos i am a bit simple. if you ever get something worked up that needs an annoying idiot like me, count me in.
lastly, you got a cheek, old git like you, implying that i am the cobwebby one
