On peanut butters sandwiches and eternal bliss.

I'd rather have a peanut butter sandwich than Eternal Bliss (or Eternal Averything Else, for that matter any day). And that's not only because I rather like peanut butter, but as Douglas Adams rightly point's out in one of his books (the last one i think) the ability to be bored is one of the fundamental facts of our brain. For something eternal, even bliss, to actually be forever enjoyable, someting would have to be done to our brains not very different from what Ford Prefect did to Colin the security robot. And I'd rather have a PB sandwich over a piece of wire in my brain, any day.
