"Really, you are quite a special person."
I wish. But I am just as flawed and stupid as any other man.

Objection yer honour!
Math, for what it's worth:
I continue to be frustrated by the extent of narrowmindedness, ignorance and stupidity which I find all around me; but you are one of the very few individuals for whose views I have what you might call "absolute respect". That is, I understand and respect your views and never ever feel that there is an aspect of your belief system (as far as I know it) which is unjustifiable, unwise, uncompassionate or ill-considered.
I feel truly privileged to know you, and hope that we get the chance to meet face to face some day. I'll keep a lookout for any druid events taking place in my neck of the ... erm ... concrete.
PS: Feel free to make a stupid, unwise, uncompassionate and bigoted comment to take off the pressure

Math, here's a quote I think you'll like:
"The fourth source of spiritual and moral ignorance is narrowness of mind. If your mind is narrow, you believe there are simple answers to every question, which can be found rapidly and without effort. You refuse to search widely, and become impatient if any question takes more than a few moments to answer. As a result your morality and spirituality is superficial – and cannot withstand difficult situations and tough challenges."
Bet you can't guess where it comes from though...

See Math! It's not just me who thinks you are special.
No need for such modesty, darling. Nothing wrong with accepting the fact you are quite special to others.

Hi Chaps
Flattery will get you both quite some way
I assume the quote is from The Dalai Lama Bod? Though I will accept that its probably the ordinary fellow on the Clapham Omnibus.
As you both know parts of my code are Humility and Honesty. I try not to wear any masks of self-deceit and thus am often quite hard on myself. It is also the reason I bear the name 'Matholwch'. It does allow me sometimes to see the argument without my own ego baggage getting in the way.
Blessings,

Hi Math,
Nope, it's from Saadya: Beliefs and Dogmas (Jewish Philosophy).
I must admit I was surprised.
And you ARE fabulous. So go in the "Honesty" direction and admit it!
