Who stole the weekend?
dracyia Posted Dec 6, 2002
Right, because I was wondering if you were giving up all forms of internet communication and leaving us.
Safe? Well, I dunno about that... But yeah, we're all lovely people here if that's what you mean :P
Who stole the weekend?
[I have gone and left here for good] Posted Dec 6, 2002
hehe what I mean by safe was i'm not likely to say anything here that will cause bother in my life, and the poeple who read it are not likely to twist what I say it is always here in typed form unlike on msn or aim where you have no proof of what was said
C'est le weekend!
Aurora Posted Dec 6, 2002
Safe... Hmm, since there is nothing (except in the event of Rupert II) you can do to delete anything you post here, safe maybe isn't the right word. If there's any evidence to burn it can't be done here. I know you're regretting saying that you had an old H2G2 account but I have, in all honesty, not been looking for it. Please cheer up - none of this is your fault. H2G2 tends to be a good refuge when there's nobody here who knows what's been happening in the real world (in fact, I think a lot of them have forgotten it exists at all).

TBH even if you found my old account you wouldn't know it was mine so I don't care if you looked or not. I am still never going to tell anyone tho what is it. I am glad you cant delete posts it makes this a safer place no one can accuse you f saying things ypu didint cause its alwaya here. I am in the process of trying to move back into the real world (not that it is a very niceplace) but its probably not a goods idea to spend you whole life online like I used too. Anywho methinks its time to change the subject. Possibly to something more cheery?
C'est le weekend!
dracyia Posted Dec 7, 2002
Are you subconciously wanting us to find your old account? You've all but set it up as a challenge and said 'go'. Blah, you should know how 'impossible' things like that tempt me >_<
But seeing as I have no interest in finding it anyway, I'll just leaver it to the digital dust mites.
Something more cheery...well...I was at the CCF Centenial(sp?) Anniversary dining in night. 'Twas a proper military dress-up and silver cutlery night. They refilled everyones wine glass with a seemingly limitless supply throughout the evening until they judged we'd had enough to start the reel dancing. I shouldn't have worn such high shoes either :S
The food was good too. They brought out the starter on a silver tray piled high with rice. 'God! That's,like, a small turkey..and we have one each?!'
Heh, yeah. With nan bread, pakora, bombay potatoes, samosas and all sorts of burney chilli sauces. Excellent dessert too.
But it was nearly midnight as it was (sigh, bording houses are all fine and well most of the time) when it finished, so had to give up on Andrew's kind drinking offer - probably just as well.
Cinema trip today. Also, we heard the Robb's, our current house parents, are leaving after Christmas. Mr and Mrs Child are moving in. They seem pleasent enough. She's a maths teacher and he's a financial analysist.
'But do YOU have a porsche Mr Child? Do YOU drive a Kawasaki? Are YOU the manager of your own business? Do YOU have an extensive DVD colection? Do YOU have a cinema home TV-sound system? Do you?'
Financial advisor? He probably does. But Mr Robb does it with style.
Uh, there was more but I got distracted again. Well, that should be enough to cheer the place up a bit.
My work here is done.
C'est le weekend!

The closer you get to Christmas, the busier it gets. That's why this weekend I will be sleeping... or I would be, if I didn't have to go do my Christmas shopping.

There's the borders Christmas party this weekend but I don't know what it'll be like.
It's easier just to tell you what I did than predict in advance.
We watched the japanese version of Macbeth today. It was, ermm, interesting...

Aurora Posted Dec 18, 2002
Did you have to watch it in Japanese? Or did they have subtitles? You should have shown them that manga Hamlet you found ages ago.
Have you been to London yet? I forget which weekend you said it was.
D'you remember Chris from all those months ago when you were at Stewarton? Well, he's quit school and celebrated with one last mad Physics period. We all feared for our lives (well, our hair at least - he's a menace with a roll of sellotape), and then he sent a very tasteful Christmas card to the librarian. No, really, it was tasteful... as long as she doesn't open it...

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
So who's all going to the Watchnight service? C'mon, I'm having to play my trombone there so the least you can do is come and watch. I seem to be doing more and more for this band - on Saturday I had to play in the freezing cold outside Rugby Park for some very unimpressed footie fans who preferred to hit each other with balloons. It was worth it though - we got on TV! For about five seconds, that is. According to Dunc.
Not sure where this post is going... Happy Christmas if I don't speak to you tomorrow anyway.

I'm not sure who's all left here. Perhaps we should just give up this thread.

No! I still don't get why you lot don't like H2G2 as much as I do... Well, Andy says he does, but he doesn't spend that much time here.
