HI Peter!!!
How's the tooth? Have you yet returned to the pleasures of Bacchus? Alas, I have a day or so to go yet.
Interesting that you've been to Portrush - my ex-wife was born there and I was born a little to the west in a nice little village by the sea called Castlerock. I've been to many a 'do' in Bushmills and quite a few weddings in the Causeway Hotel over the years!
Oddly enough, I've never made it to your part of the world. Nearest I've been to Reading would be London itself, I think, unless you count my recent exodus from the UK, when we passed about seven miles above it and slightly to the west
I was a bit wasted when I got in last night - still am, 58 is far too old for all this, but humans are perverse creatures. When I'm at me desk I long to be 'out and about' an when I'm 'out and about', well the old desk has its attractions!
I'll reply to your e-mail later, in more detail. I'll be setting up my own web-site again when I get back, so we can exchange hints, tips & frustrations then.
In the meantime, I raises me glass (alas, fruit juice, only) and looks towards you ...
... I wish ...

Good morning David
The tooth is in remission at the moment, waiting for the dentist to start a-prodding and a-digging next Thursday. I should say "teeth",actually, because there is one on the bottom set that had the infection and one on the top set that is very tender. No wonder I was suffering so much!
I have embraced Bacchus again now the course of antibiotics has finished. I'm contemplating broaching a nice little French red to see me through the afternoon. (Yes, life is hard!)
The Causeway Hotel was just about 200-300 yards from where we were staying. There is a farm to the east of the hotel which has some holiday cottages on its property. We went to the hotel to eat on a few evenings. The size of those portions!! I've never seen a mixed grill like it!
I'm going to start putting some pages together soon for the web page and one section will be "My Travels" where I can expand on such tales as "The Great Northern Ireland Wedding Holiday Adventure"
I look forward to receiving your email.
Peter
