Racism where?

Post 1

Empty Sky (Remember me fondly.)

To all New Zealand regulars, here. Have you received the latest piece of offensive hate-mail in your letter box from Tauranga MP Winston Peters? Winnie has really outdone himself this time. It’s so bad that some postal workers face disciplinary action for refusing to deliver it. (Seriously.) I recently told someone that there’s no real racism in New Zealand and I really believed that. But now NZ has lost its innocence.

It says (among other things):

“The face of NZ is being changed through deliberate ethnic, social and cultural engineering. NZ is now a soft touch for illegal immigrants, bogus refugees and asylum seekers whose bills are paid by the taxpayer. Imported crime levels are soaring and so are the number of third world diseases such as Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.”

He includes a graph which only shows that the fastest growing sector of society is Asian people (as if that’s a revelation).

This is the worst kind of incitement to hatred. Winston Peters should be stopped before it’s too late. Writing to his party won’t do any good. We should all complain to the human rights commission.

Who’d have thought New Zealand would have its own BNP?

I haven't received this trash, but I read about it in the paper... I thought, when I did, that I'd sent it to Winnie, postage due, wrapped around a half brick (though the postie doesn't deserve a hernia for trying to deliver the result.) Problem is, MPs get free postage, so it would come out of taxes.
I heard some drongo saying that he 'knew' refugees and immigrants get rent free houses, courtesy of 'hard working tax payers'. Well, that's just b*ll*cks!
Be reassured, the 'average NZer' isn't like that at all. My 85 year old neighbour was talking in a tone of kind concern about the Somalis the other side of her, regarding the driveways we're getting (whether we want them or not, but that's another story.smiley - aliensmile)
PS - Empty, seen any Wraiths lately?

I'd be inclined to say that the spectre was raised after the death of Dame Whena Cooper. Maybe that's too wide a scope.

Maybe the name of the NZ First pary should be changed to "one nation" or what ever that aussie party was called.

We saw Pauline Hanson professing her innocence on 60/60 or 20 Minutes or whatever the other night - spilt us sides laughing, we did...

She looks like a 'bad guy' from neibours. I couldn't take her seriously either

Unfortunately sufficient people do take the likes of Pauline Hanson and Winston Peters seriously, enough to make them an annoyance.
