You'd have to reeplace the 12.8 litre V8 with something smaller. But, with today's technology, you could probably fit in something more powerful. Maybe the Mini Cooper S's 161 horse-power unit.

Yes, when the Bugatti Royale was made, engines only produced a fraction of the power, for a given size, that they do now. The Cooper S engine probably pumps out more power than the Royale engine.
