My picture is in the Vancouver Sun newspaper today. Twice. Yes, the Vancouver Sun to which Hunter S. Thompson wrote a relatively famous letter of application for a job.

All I had to do was be part of a company that is celebrating it's 40th anniversary (and third owner) today.

I was in the Edmonton Journal once, I think. But that was in 1872 or so, so I can't post a link.

It was 50 years, actually and I can't find a link to the pages. I have a feeling they were advertising dollars since they made up the last two pages and half of the front page (it was cut in half lengthwise). Anyway, the back page was a group photo of employees and I was part of a photo montage on the inside page and a half. I think they chose the photo because it looks like I was stunned. By what I don't remember, I had a mustache so it was probably the 80s- a time I remember vaguely.

Heady stuff really, I may now have to write memoirs and sell my story to Hollywood.

I find myself stunned that I knew instantly who Clem Orzo was, despite the Hallowe`en disguise on your side and the many Pils on my side.

But, seriously, congratulations on being part of the Sun (if you look at the Sun too long you`ll go blind) Empire.
