Totally blown away by the tribute at the White House for Stevie Wonder. PBS did an excellent choice in HD, with great sound. Only one complaint, Canadian Diana Krall could have used hairspray and another choice of song. Everything else was flawless or close to it.

I take it back *Leave You In Summer* was a bit out of place. And Paul Simon was a bit white (but still excellent).

She's an Island Girl and I'm and Island Boy so I could just drop by her parent's place near Nanaimo and give her some- but I think she can probably afford her own. Elvis should have told her....
Paul Simon is very, very white but he did introduce a lot of people to Ladysmith Black Mombaso (plus a few other worldbeat-ers). I prefer his early stuff with Garfunkel, to tell the truth.

One of my profs at school used a couple of their lyrics in my Psychology 101 course. Then when I took Media I used *At the Zoo* for my first year film project. It was easy, I just shot the animals at the zoo and then people on the street and put it all together.
I wish work was that easy now!!

that's funny. I work in psychiatry, and oftentimes, i find song lyrics express the very thing i want to describe.

Zebras are reactionaries...
Plus, they'll only fit in a microwave if you lubricate them well. As we established on another thread today.

My favourite zoo story:
A few years ago, the river Vltava in Prague broke its banks, flooding much of the city. At the zoo, they had no choice but to free the animals. After the waters subsided, they rounded them all up again...only...the hippopotamus was missing. They eventually found it - on the second floor of the administration block. The waters had risen and it had swum through a window. When the waters went down, it was unable to get down the stairs. I like to fondly imagine that it's still up there.
