Hi there -
I've been editing this piece - and I'm pretty much done.
As if fated, I have some experience with hamsters and took the broad sub-ed liberty of adding a little about hamster illness. I also noted that you got the name of the Doctor who found the first hamster wrong - so I corrected it, along with adding the location of the find and the date (I don't know quite how I manage to remember some of this stuff... my home library is full of endless piles of books on just about everything...).
I broke the core of the article up with some sub-headings, which helps lighten the look of the page somewhat.
Anyway, you can find it here:

If you have any big issues or comments, please drop me a line - otherwise I'll complete a final check and commit the piece to the editors tomorrow evening.

That seems fine to me.
The article was pretty much written from memory and as I was lucky enough to own a hamster that lived for three years without any seriuos health problems that wasn't a part of my experiences of the species.
Thanks for the additional info and I'll look forward to seeing this one on the front page in the near future.
