I was meant to be working and I got a bit distracted with h2g2. I was going through PR and it didn't take me long to spot the name change and to wonder.
Trout would be fine - you'd get called one thing instead of DMT, Dr T, Trout and Mont. Never did work out which one you preferred.

Once a Doc always a Doc. When we first met you told me the name Dr. Montague Trout went way back.

Circa 1986.
I'm sorting through some 'memorabilia' (crap) this week. I'm hopeful of finding the original "Montague Trout" byline.

When sorting crap from wheat always remember that deleted hard copy is gone forever.

Yes I'm archiving shoeboxes of hardcopy into proper scrapbooks. Might even get around to indexing.
1) England v W. Germany 1966 World Cup Final programe
2) Charlton v Plymouth Argyle January 1981 programme
3) Gravesend and Northfleet v Notts Forest programme (Brian Clough brought the European Champs to Stonebridge Road to inaugurate the new floodlights)
4) Queen Elizabeth coronation button-badge

Quite right Doc but indexing might be going a bit far. Stops the thrill of the search.

Hey Doc. You unsubscribed from all my Journal entries. I hope you can find your way back ok. When you do just remmber to unsubscribe after posting any postings any replies. I'll try to keep an eye on you.
When you replied to my latest addition it wasn't put on the conversation list of any of your friends other that Pinniped of course, who is on my friends list. I'll see if posting to any of my journal entries resubscribes you. I doubt if it will. It's only the introduction of a new subject that will do that.

Posted to License to Lurk it didn't come up on your conversation List. So as my friend you only get notified when I open a new subject. Once you have unsubscribed from an item you have to go back and open my journal. It is treated like any other conversation.

Sorry for 'License to Lurk' in above post read 'Test on Journal Entry'

Trout Montague Posted Jul 1, 2003
Yes, I unsubscribed to let you do your research. I still can't do what you did with the Bipedal entry.
viz:
I can delete my journal entries, but if I post to conversations, they come up to the top of my conversation page.
Conversely, the journal entry to which you only post does not come up on your conversation page when I view your conversations from here.
Could it be that you see my page differently to the way I see it. And vice versa?
i.e., I see my journal conversations on my own conversation list. But you do not see them if you lurk my page?

Doc - he's still Doc to me
I didn't do it he just happened to unsubscribe for himself.
viz:
Having 'removed' it from your journal. You must 'Unsubscribe' on your conversation list.
True - That's what I said you only get a new subject. Not my replies to an existing subject.
I'm on Brunel - the answer to your question is yes but the difference has no effect on what we are talking about.
When you introduce a new thread/subject I get it on my conversation list. It will remain there until I unsubscribe. If I once unsubscribe from any of your journal entries the only way I can get them back is to 'raid' your journal
