There seem to be very strong parallels between the two cases. Both clubs, controlled by foreign business interests, sacked managers - completely out of the blue - who were doing a decent job, and appointed new managers who they think will do better. If they prove to be correct, I suppose supporters will be happy in the long run. Trouble is, the chances of McLeish doing better than O'Driscoll or Pochettino doing better than Adkins seem a bit remote, and it makes you wonder if these crazy foreigners have a clue what they're doing. It's early days for the Al Hasawis at Forest, but Saints have done well since Cortese appeared on the scene so maybe he's not as clueless as some of us think.
