Yes, I have, and I'm not so sure I'd have enough time for it. I'm in between experiments at work at the mo. I enjoy going around saying hello and giving an unofficial welcome to people, it's fun. How much time does it consume anyway?

Well, the whole scheme is voluntary and there are no commitments, so it takes as much, or as little, time as you want it to. Some days I Ace loads of people, but then at other times I don't welcome anyone for weeks.
I think you'd make a good Ace, and the privileges that you get from being an Ace are fun, but just welcoming people unofficially is cool too

Ok, I volunteered, what happens now?

On Monday, Abi will acknowledge that you've applied to be an Ace, and will inform you of when she's 'recruiting' more Aces. Recruiting is when the new Aces are officially inducted, and when you get your nice orange badge, name on the Ace's Dropdown list and access to the offsite forum. She normally recruits every week or two, so be patient

Hey, thanks Ste for saying hello (and no worries, your conversation was interesting to read - I did appreciate the wave).
I am still quite a newbie, but enjoying myself. Am making mistakes, doing things wrong but am learning how it all works. Need to work out Smileys, there are so many, I can't remember what they all mean!!
You asked where I'm from. I am Londoner (well originally from Essex but thats a secret!!). I live and work in this stupidly busy and hectic city. I look forward to the day when I can say "right, thats it, I'm old" and head for the countryside!!! You say on your page, you are English too but living in San Diego. Whats that like? Not a fan of America myself. How long have you lived there then?

Hi Zetta

You subscribed to *all* PR threads? Good effort! Did you click "Click here to be notified of new Guide Entries in this Review Forum" at the bottom of the main Peer Review page? Have you tried clicking "Click here to stop being notified of new Guide Entries in this Review Forum" just below it? You could unsubscribe from each conversation also, do you know how to do that?
