generation X?

I may have witnessed an abstraction that became a reality today. In more ways than one in fact. I always felt that gen X was a creation of the advertising blitz that hit people in that age group whatever it was. It was also likely that we were all a little changed (or even brainwashed by this concept. Whatever happened, it may have had something to do with the standard ideals of our parents generation being instilled in their children. The abstraction became the reality in us.
We had a fight of principles today. The bully boys from the last generation of information attempted to toss one of us out of the pub. We have a vested interest in her credibility and her wish for freedom for two reasons. The first being, as to not bias those that read this, that she is part of a group that I am a member off, who have taken the stance that we will now do business in accordance to our principles. It is a business. The second is that we believe that this chauvinism must stop on this segment of the planet.
So the group stood up and indicated that should she leave, we would leave too. And those that believed in what we believed were welcome to join in. We have a company with no capital and in which 4 are employed in some professional job (however in no significant position whatsoever and 2 are unemployed, Against the smallish goliath of the power hungry bureaucrats that run the place (one of us is working there but gets crap that no equivalent positioned man receives, the other was sacked :D). We decided enough was enough for our own reasons (mine was because I believed that this was purely political and was created to sack the other. But than I have a streak of paranoia so everybody is really after me!
Well we won for now. Next round coming up. Even if we all lost our jobs, we still win because they will loose the best crew they have, and whats more, we are united (for whatever reasons).
Maybe freedom was what was instilled in gen X. I think so.
