Left handed guitars are a necessary evil (to a left handed musician like myself), although not every aspect of them is evil, they sometimes have wonderful sustain and well shaped necks, some of them even hold their tuning, but the evil comes in the shop whence they are purchased by unsuspecting musos like me (parted with our hard earned cash by a pretty colour a nice set of contours and a sweet voice), the big problem is they cost 20% more than their right handed counterparts, there is no extra material used, there are no electronic differences, the strings are the same, so why is this tax on dexterity applied? I enquired, apparently the retailer pays the same 20% extra to the manufacturer, leaving me the same questions to be answered. Why is it more expensive to be left handed? It's not like I have a choice, I was born this way!
