Hi I'm new to all this and not very clever on the old computer.
I find there are too many Whistles and Bells for me to comprehend and I have to take time to get into gear.
To introduce myself, I'm in my mid seventies, and I have been living in New Zealand for 34 years; oringinally from Hackney, London.
After 34 years I haven't lost my cockney accent accept it's not so profound as it used to be unless I get into conversation with another Londoner and then Kiwis can't understand what we are talking about.
Rhyming slang, Back slang, (Kcab Gnels)etc comes into being.
I have lived in NZ for 34 years but my heart is still back in the old country.
Well, this is for a start, and I hope I can get involved with lots of nice people as time goes on. Catch you later.
