*Falls out of wingback in amazement, which is a skill I tell you. Took me five years learning at the feet of a swami, a further trial considering he spent his entire life living atop the Number 62 bus stop, before I could even throw myself from the top of a milking stool in a casual manner*
So, selling the old etchings eh? But what will you use to invite young ladies up to your flat now? How much are you looking for, two bottles of brown ale and a weekend return to Bognor?

I shall use, as I always have, the spimcoot charm to lure young ladies up to my flat.
I was thinking along the lines of 100 pounds for a good 'un; anything down to 50 for a shoddy effort. Make me an offer.

I shouldn't worry, Uncle Heavy, they're selling like cold hot cakes at the moment. I'll stick one under the counter for you, nevertheless.

How much for a portrait?
Oh and how long will it be until the painting fetches telephone number prices? like Godwards?

Well yes, I was thinking, if you did a portraqit of me and then they become famouse(SP) It'll make the portrait worth alot more.

I want a portrait of me from someone that's actually good! But I don't have any money... (Well, I do, but I'm saving up to get to the UK one of these years...)

Alas, famous cartoonists are few and far between. Portraits aren't quite my bag but it has been known. Amy, if you spend your money on visiting Blighty then I'll draw you for free from life.

Now, should I do to you what I do to Theory when he does that?
Of course, that presupposes that I remember...

spimcoot Posted Aug 12, 2002
Sounds intriguing. If it's something nice, do it by all means.

Nah... How can I be mean to someone who actually *lets* me get away with calling myself boring?
Dangerous news
spimcoot Posted Aug 12, 2002
Even more intriguing but perhaps I'm glad you didn't do it after all. I like your twisted sense of reward and punishment, though, and you can call yourself whatever you please as far as I'm concerned.

Must away to my bed to doze off with David Niven. Night night.

Finally, a friend who doesn't get annoyed with me when I get self-deprecating... Though, you might end up getting nagged by someone here (A681914) to not let me once they've noticed you do... Of course, I could very well be the only one that remembers it... (And why am I bringing it up now? I certainly don't like it)
