Aand that there cow, if I could just colour in the white spots with a gold dye then it would be a NRCow, wouldn't that be nice.

I think you got that wrong, the Cow mostly appears to be a very light shade of black, in fact, I don't think its black at all. It appears to be a more sort of pink colour. Not often you see that, a pink cow with white spots. I suggest you first attempt to change the colour pink to black, then do the white dots gold. This can be achieved by a rule.

Ah yes! those pink cows. I remember one fine day driving along and the battery lead fell off. Several cases of this have since been attributed to bovine intervention although one case of a simple loosening of the terminals was traced to a little known Western District dairy where cows are now allowed access to tools and a goat is suspected. This however does not refute the cow theory.
