...surely the theme song can't be as bad as Wesley Crusher's romper suit?

Anyway, picking up on your cannabis reference and last week's article, I just wanted to share with you something I read in The Mail yesterday. It really made me laugh. Buried away on page 36 was the tragic story of a woman with mental illness who lost her mother and then developed paranoid delusions about her father before stabbing and bludgeoning him to death. Not very amusing so far: the woman clearly needed help which never came. However, 'scientists' believed that it was just possible that the illness had been entirely exacerbated by her 'dependence on cannabis'. The tone was so exactly like that of those 50's exploitation flicks masquerading under the guise of public information films (I Was A Teenage Dope Fiend Nympho Vampire - a title I intend to borrow for my autobiography) that finally I had to let go of the neck of the passing stranger I'd been squeezing in anger, and share a laugh with him. The Mail had even had the audacity to 'comment' on this in their 'comment' section. 'How can Mr Blunkett claim that cannabis is safe when THIS happens'.

The far more worrying truth is that, had the article not been so funny, that passing stranger would not be alive and well in intensive care today. From this one case I conclude that The Mail is a danger to all.

Enjoy your hols Ormy.

Double Double Jepordy-

It's okay to relax the drugs laws regarding canabis, because relaxing the cannabis laws doesn't mean that they'll be relaxed for other drugs.
But it's not okay to increase the prosecution laws for everything else because once it's increased for some crimes it'll be increased for all?

Something amis in that arguement Ormy smiley - winkeye

As for Wesleys' Romper suit... the theme tune is a LOT worse.

smiley - laugh Great story, spimcoot! I often wondered where that dark sensibility in your excellent cartoons came from. Now I know - you sometimes read the Daily Mail! smiley - yuk

Pastey, I never said that relaxing the law on cannabis was only a good thing because other UK drug laws weren't being relaxed. I wouldn't say that, because it isn't what I believe. Drug addiction is an illness, and I think that people suffering from that illness need to be treated more as patients and less as criminals.
