Go away.
Read up on scientific method.
Come back.
Remove those 'faith points' on your page.
Then, potentially, people will stop laughing at you because at the moment your PS is one of the funniest tracts of idiotic irrationality I have read for some time.

Sir, I do not care what other people think about me. I'm interested in what people think about ideas.

NeoPathFinder Posted Feb 26, 2008
So, "Your ideas are stupid". Well, thanks for that. Have a nice day.
Suggestion...
Alfster Posted Feb 26, 2008
Oh, I wouldn't say stupid.
Your 'idea's' look irrational, illogical, ill-thought out and naive but then again if some one sets up a thought experiment where one has to, to from the very start, state that irrational statements are 'true' based on faith then one is startng from a false hypothesis and whatever conclusions one comes up with they will be flawed and pointless.

Don't worry about this person NPF (as I see you're not, which is good.)
He simply likes to annoy.

My points aren't irrational. You might not agree with them, but they aren't irrational.
If my first principles aren't true then yes, my conclusions would also be untrue.

NeoPathFinder - some friendly advice (separate to whatever we are going at each other here).
Re: the new poster...be careful of her (yes I know the poster has said that about me)...suggest you have a word with Effers or even Blicky (your first nemesis poster) or someone like that...
Right...
I beg to differ!
QED!
It is always going to be difficult for a religious person such as yourself to be truly neutral with an 'open mind' due to your entrenched belief and requirement to have faith to believe in the very thing that that defines your the way you run your life. Hence, for things that may start to make your beliefs seem incorrect, irrational etc one sometimes sees people redefine the rules etc or just plain ignore them via cognitive dissonance to ensure ones root beliefs/faith still 'come out on top'.

If I may drop in, unanounced for a moment ...
It is just as <>
NeoPathFinder, your openness is a breath of novelty. But you probably are aware that you are seen as "fresh meat" for the old timers to interrogate, confuse, twist about on your own words, basically the same-old, same-old. The glee and plotting in other threads, as to how to break down your simple politeness, trying to get a reaction from you. So that you can be neatly tucked into a category of "nutter, believer, faither, properly chastised" ...
I am not of either camp, but of my own. It is, how-ever, very nice, to see one hold their own to a degree with folks who actually look at their daily world through 'falsifiable' scope.

3dots I'm not sure that I'd be the best to speak to at present. I'm feeling excessively confused and upset with stuff at present.

Yeah ... at some point I'm probably going to have to prioritize whom I will spend time talking to and simply choose not to dignify some people with a response. I've already had to send a couple yikes messages to the staff.

Right, just thought I'd offer a friendly 'heads-up', mate. Good luck, and I do hope that you find some of the lighter sides of this place enjoyable too.
I'll step out of this thread now, and leave it to you and Alfster aka Dot Dot Dot.
