Today is day number two of the war in Iraq. The nearest Iraqi border is some 500 miles away yet people are expecting me to pack up and come back to the UK- as if the UK is some kind of haven of security?!
The war is not really having any impact here, I have friends who have cancelled trips to visit me because of fear of any 'spill over'. If it spills over as far as here we'll all have something to worry about. They're also scared of terrorism and they live in LONDON!
I feel a little bit more conspicious as a westerner, but other than that everything is fine. So grab yourself a cheap holiday, the hotels will appreciate your custom in these times and come to Dubai.
