Well it's a pretty good statement, isn't it?
I suspect Tarja is bored being a president. All that responsibility being the minister of foreign affairs, and now tea parties with the monarchs.

I've heard it said that she won't run for presidency at the next election.
Shame, really. I think she's been good.

Forgot to mention this before: Hati said that they teach Swedish in many Estonian schools, but it's not mandatory.
I'm kinda hoping Tarja would do something more influential before retiring completely. But I guess it's pretty uncommon to become prime minister *after* being president...

That must have been what I was thinking of.
Yeah, Tarja seems very tired these days.
Maybe she'll do lecture tours like the ex-US Presidents?

Hmmm... I think Baltic country students would at least listen. Germany and Estonia and so on.

Hello again
I know you don't speak Finnish, but at least your English is kinda good. So I'm inquiring your advice: I'm writing an entry on Kirkkonummi (my hometown), and I need an English word for kunta/kommun. My internet dictionary gives these options:
borough
commune
community
council
local authority
local community
municipality
I guess it should be 'municipality', but it sounds wrong. So, 'Kykslätts kommun' would be in English...?

Hi.
Sorry this took so long in replying.
That's a really hard question as every country has it's own administration system. In Britain I guess you'd talk about a borough, but I can't say what that would mean to an American.
