How is it June is almost over?
Sprained my leg playing Ultimate Frisbee day before yesterday... was so bummed because I really wanted to keep playing. I think my team did better after I was injured, however. Sat on the sidelines with my icepack, tried not to ogle the guys... so hard sometimes! I hang out with some very good looking men!
I'm really having some difficulty getting back into the Guide... almost feel like a stranger sometimes. I guess I'll just have to write some entries and get them into Peer Review soon. I'll just pop one out in my "spare time".
So I think it's about time I go to college. My flatmate, Liesl, said she'll help me with the application process. I don't think I've wasted the last four years (post highschool)... I've done, accomplished, and experienced so much! However, I'm starting to spin my wheels so maybe The Time Has Come. Kind of excited really.
So I think I want to start with some writing classes. What do you think?
Miss my 'Chel friend terribly. So far away!!! Can't wait to see her... planning my west coast trip, trying not to sweat it all too much.
well, that's it for now...
ciao,
Raych

Sounds to me like you've got the balance right - four years of 'adult'-ness: doing stuff for yourself, learning about the ways of the world outside school and all of that malarkey; a great way to start setting yourself up for going back into the learning game.
I agree with you - those years definitely weren't wasted. There's loads of stuff that people need to learn that can't be learned from books, and getting some of that education in is just as worth doing. And then you get yourself a College diploma/degree, so you've got the best of both worlds. Neat.
I assume by 'writing classes' that you mean studying the written word and its construction (prose, verse etc.). That sounds pretty interesting actually!
I'd go for that.

That sounds pretty neat to me - although my reading favourites do tend to be humorous travelogues by the likes of Bill Bryson and Michael Palin...
Hardly high art - but certainly informative!
