Thought I'd say hello on your patch and send some smiles to you, y'know? 24-7prayer is wicked, and the best thing is if you try to be all professional about it, it's much more likely to be rubbish - just have a giggle/adventure and see where God takes you!

Our last prayer room was in a bedroom - we did about a week and a half in the end, and it was awesome! I'd not done the midnight til 6am rollercoaster before - you should try it sometime.

If you really want to set up a prayer room, try doing it for a day or a weekend, just to see how it works out. In my hall of residence, we had a 10hour prayer room for the length of our hall ball, and that was probably the best one I've been part of (plus it was in my room).
So have fun and go for it!

What a good idea! My room was the prayer room a couple years ago at the school I worked at. I really want to do a week long one here, gonna talk to a local youth pastor about using a room in the centre downtown.

I just got back to this town. I have been living about 3 hours south of here, working at a boarding school, and now I'm back living with my folks and my friend Gifalis for a while. It's weird. We're up in the country and my old friends either aren't Christians anymore, or they moved away. I've only been up a week, but I've been sick, so I haven't had time to do ANYTHING. I'm looking forward to the summer job and new ministry opportunities thing!

Yeah, I kind of know where you're coming from - where I live, I pretty much know no one, since my parents moved here just before I disappeared to university. Hence it's pretty dull and uninspiring if I'm finding it hard to inspire myself ...
