Welcome to the wonderful world of h2g2! I am glad you stopped to say hello, its good to see you here.

I should probably introduce myself, my name is LighthousegirlUK, but most people call me Light far less of a mouthful, I am an ACE (assistant community editor) and we like to pop over and personally welcome people. There are lots of ways you can join in round here - I see you have already found how to create an entry and I must say I am definitely in favour of the concept of a four day weekend!

It can all seem a bit overwhelmingly large to start with but in those immortal words Dont Panic - if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to help. I think H2G2 is a fabulous website and I think I will be sticking around for a while.

I'm still trying to find my feet though - what exactly does an ace do and how does this whole editing thing work?

Hi Andy Good to hear from you :-) I agree - this is a great place - lots to see and I have been lucky enough to meet some fantastic people :-D The community is pretty big so it can take a while to get settled -anything I can do to help just ask The Aces are a group of researchers who volunteer to greet people and help them find their way around the site. If was cant answer your questons we can usually find someone who can! If you want to know more about the Aces click here Aces<./> If you want to know how to get a piece into the edited guide the best place to start is with the cintribute button which if the background to your screen in white will be at the top of this page, if the background is blue it will be on the left towards the top. It explains it all there.
