I hope you get the point there. It's been a REALLY, really, really, really bad day.
My dad had a stroke today.
I'm not even sure why I'm writing this here. I mean, there's nothing that can be done about it right now, and my step-mom tells me that it "Wasn't too bad". Like you can have a GOOD stroke, for the love of god. And I hate to freak people out by posting stuff on here that makes them feel all icky and uncomfortable, like you have to give me sympathy or something.
I just needed to write stuff down.
And I'm a little more than drunk right now.
And upset. Yes, I'm a little upset. Yes.
I'm sure everything will be alright - he's conscious and talking, which is a good sign, but he can't move his left side. They may have to do surgery to take down the swelling in his brain.
Sooooo...needless to say, I may have to leave town for a little bit. If you pray, and you don't mind doing it for other people, would you pray for my dad? Thank you. I'll keep you updated.
Bad day. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad day.

Oh Amanda, I'm really sorry to hear that. We're here for you, let me know if you need anything.
And I don't pray, but I'll keep your dad in my thoughts.
Take care of yourself,
Love,
Kate

Thanks guys. Here's the update: Apparently my dad has been having "Pre-Stroke-Like-Symptoms" for over a month, and no one has bothered to tell me. So I'm a little mad about that.
Dad's talking and he can get around with some assistance, but he's still confused, there's still brain swelling and he still can't move his left side. The last I talked to my step-mom, they were still waiting for a neurologist to visit him and go over the MRI. Gotta love small towns, eh?
Anyway, he's alive and that's the important thing. I'm going to try and get some sleep tonight, which is the best thing I could do for myself right now. Love you guys!
P.S Greg - See you in the morning!!!
P.P.S Greg - Don't forget the camera!!

Mmmm....gorgeted cameras in a cream sauce with a little memory card on the side...
Or lamb chops. I can go either way.

Hey. You put him back this instant, Greg.
He doesn't want to go to St. Louis.
Bad day. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad day.
Amanda Posted Dec 7, 1999
No, you're absolutely right. He hates and loathes St. Louis and is trying desperately to escape our feminine charms, and would tell you so himself but sadly can't as it's really hard to talk through ten feet of electrical tape and a sock.
...Or better yet, he and Carrie are asleep. But it sounded good, no? Exciting, no?
*sigh*
No.
Bad day. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad day.
