swede

Alas, I am merely 1/4 Swedish. My maternal grandfather is an immigrant to the good ole US of A from Sweden. As I'm told I look the part (6 foot tall, blond hair, blue eyes)my friends back in high school nicknamed me Swede and it seems to have stuck. I'd say it's a pretty good compliment, especially if you've ever watched the movie, 'Heartbreak Ridge' My other, work related nickname (Dirk, nothing whatsoever to do with the Svlad Cjelli type) was way too closely related to the works of Mr. Adams so I decided to revert to the ole high school one.

Well, prolly a little more than the answer you were looking for smiley - smiley

Hmmm.. come to think of it, I'm not all that Swedish myself - I was born and grew up in Sweden, and I'm a Swedish citizen - but both my parents are Finnish!smiley - biggrin
