Hi Phil, nice to hear from you
sure I,m always willing to chat about cycling.
I'm 53 years young, male and from Barnsley in Sth. Yorkshire.
I love the sport and train two evenings a week and ride time trials at the weekend or if I'm not racing I do a long training
ride on Sundays.
I have a Carrera road bike, a
Quintana Roo lo-pro and like you I have a mountain bike (Claud Butler). My wife has a CBR Gatecrasher Mnt bike.
Let me know do you do any kind of racing or club riding, are you watching the Vuelta on eurosport
and what destinations you ride to. cheers Alan.
by the way how did you find my real name.

Hi again Phil,
Presuming you got new a cassette of cogs on your new rear wheel all you should require will be chain, you should pick one up for about four and a half quid check the mail order adds at the back of Cycling weekly.Adjusting the gears is just trial & error with
the cable adjuster at the back of the deraileur.
I notice from your space you like music, what are your tastes,
It's a shame about Johnny Cash isn't it.
Anyway good luck with the bike,
chat again soon Alan.

Hi Phil
I cant really give you an idea of the price of the block or cassette for your bike because
there are so many differrant types from 5 speed screw on blocks to 10 speed spline fitting cassettes, but as I said before you'll get a clue from the classifieds in Cycling Weekly.
When it comes to music I like
most of it with a passion for
instromental stuff as i play the fiddle But like you I enjoy rock my favourites are AC-DC, Meatloaf,Bon Jovi and Guns & Roses. I use to follow a Local
Band around called Suite Revenge
but they have disbanded now, it's shame they were good.

Hi Phil
Have you made any progress with the bike yet? though its getting a bit cold for riding now,I've reduced my milage quite
substancialy I'm doing just
enough to keep my base fitness.
I got a new bike for my birthday a couple of weeks ago,
a track bike that means no brakes,no gears and no freewheel
it's ideal for training on.
Cheers smiley - ale Alan
