h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

If your having the same problems as every parent is the UK at the moment, of how to entertain your children for six weeks of their School Holiday's and with spare money hard to find, this some ideas that might help.

1. Picnics are great fun and don't cost the earth, we need to eat at lunch time anyway, so why not put the food in a basket/bag and head for a park or beach near to you and let the kids have some fun, hide sweets in the sand or in the trees or bushes and let the kids find them, its great fun.

2. Head for your local Swimming Pool, its very cheap to go Swimming, with some of the councils offering free entry for children, its a great way of burning up some energy and have fun.

3. The other way to entertain your children is, get a lot's of mum together and share the cost of arranging a Sand Art Card Party, its fun exciting for kids,children can create amazing pictures using brightly coloured sand, this is a great way to entertain your kids for hours very cheaply .
