A Conversation for The World's Best Campsites
Hollands Wood - The New Forest

Not as far afield as some sites menthioned on here but if you happen to venture toward the New Forest then a stay at the Hollands Wood campsite is well worth it. It has over 600pitches which does make this a busy site but it is on the edge of the forest and surrounded by woodland. It has 3 decent size and clean Shower & Toilet blocks, and if you like a bit of nature then you will love this site waking up to Cows walking through the site in the morning and wandering new Forest Ponies/Horses looking for something to eat.
There are many good sites in the area but we found the Hollands Wood to be probably the best one, all the sites in the area appear to be run by the Foresty Commission so they all have a commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural environment. This is sometimes reflected in the price as they are not the cheapest of sites to stay at bu well worth a visit.
If you look on the Forestholidays website you can also find sites in the area which are more on the quiet level and ones that do not have all the amenities so to suit those who like more the wild camping.
