Magenta coloured blood, bad acting (even with the sound off) and strange scantily clad women with dyed red hair. Odd to say the least. Oh and I'm not watching it, it's just on in the office.

The acting's better than in American soaps... LOL
That's just *soap opera acting.*
The badness of the acting usually is inversely dependent upon the loudness of the actors' breathing, footsteps and paper-crinkling. When you can hear the fabric in their clothes brushing against itself, you know you're watching crap.
