Strangely five minutes later I'm fine, why I have to go through the annoyance bit though I have no idea. Still one thing, this time in six weeks I'll be back in england and very sad... hopefully the sadness should adjust to optimism and expectation within a short period of time. Besides at least we'll have webcams again

It depends. If you make yourself valueable enough, and you can convince a company you can't be replaced by local talent, you can get a work visa. What if you became a model? Did you know that work visas for computer tech jobs are on the same keel with models when moving from england to the US?
