Only a few hours ago 15 people plunged to their deaths from a gangway as they tried to get in to the new Queen Mary liner, in France.
Several people die, daily, on the roads. And that is all aside from the old who are dying off quietly in various places.
Isn't it amazing how so many forget that their life hangs by a thread, and in one split second, without any warning, they could die. Perhaps we have all driven past car crashes and seen death firsthand. I used to be a police officer, many years ago, and have had to deal with that sort of thing.
Even in all this, though, those who are fit, financially comfortable, and are, as the world would have it, having a 'good time', seem not to think of these things.
But God has said that it is Heaven or Hell a moment after death. He has paid a high price so that people may be delivered of the reason that they go to Hell; sin. And to be delivered of the effects of sin; being cut off from God and not knowing Him.
What madness is this, that careers around life as if it is perfectly safe, and is going to live forever. What madness forgets God, when this is His world, that He made, and He owns.
Remember, everyone dies; it is only a question of when.

Hi Justin ,
I don't know old friend but you are starting to sound a bit desperate. Trying to frighten people into your God's hands is pretty low, even by your standards.
Yes I could be dead a heartbeat after typing this. However, unlike you, I do not fear death. For me and my people it is only a gate to a new path on the long journey. No heaven, no hell, only life, death and rebirth.
Even should I be wrong the tree that will be planted above me will grow from my decaying and fertilising corpse. My poetry and other writings will go on until they too are forgotten, and my children will carry forward the genes of my ancestors and myself.
I am immortal for I am the stuff of stars. All that is lost is the ego and the self. Not a high price for such a gift as this life.
Justin, please, stop worrying about what happens next and start enjoying what is happening now.
Blessings,
Matholwch /|\.

Moth,
Now you have to consider what happens a split second later; if you die in your sin, without Jesus Himself.

Because Justin, many people believe that death is the end, completely, no afterlife or anything. If you felt that this life was all you had, wouldn't you try to make the best of it?

Justin
"... they go to Hell ... being cut off from God and not knowing Him"
Until now, you have constantly referred to hell as a lake of fire, as protrayed in the Revelation to St John. However this is the traditional Jewish interpretation, as might be surmised from the first 65 books of the bible. Why the change in emphasis?
