h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm at my parents' in Dumfries at the moment, enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation (read: proper food) after finishing my exams and dissertation.

It's always nice being at home: it's great to see my parents, and all that. My dad (Howard) has recently bought a laptop, which is why I'm writing journal entries in bed at 2:15 in the morning! It's also an opportunity to have hour long conversations with my mum (Leonie) about nothing, and to see the cat (though she seems to have got into the habit of sitting in the garden when it's raining). The problem with home is being away from Edinburgh. Ruth sometimes comes with me, but even then, I think it's just the fact that I'm coming back to Dumfries. I feel like it's a chapter of my life that's past.

It is nice to have a decent bath, though. Being used as it is by four male students, the bathroom in my flat is more conducive to 5-minute showers that the hour and a half soaks that I prefer!
