Yes, actually, yes. I fell in love with Tom Robbins stright out of high school - when I incidentally began a job waitressing to help me through University. He writes a woman's point of view better than most women can...I think! And his stories are hillarious and real (surreal); Skinny Legs and All with Ellen Cherry Charles, the Airstream Turkey and Can O' Beans is probably my favorite!

yeah he rocks he is a genius yay for him.
I quite like frog pyjamas because he could make me see things from the point of view of a character so different from myself, & obviously quite different from himself as well.
but my favourite is jitterbug because it's so BIG...
I'm saving roadside attraction because as far as I know it's the only one I haven't read...

I totally agree with you on the BIGness of Jitterbug... The first time I read it, it took me a week to grasp his writing style. I've never seen another author tie Point A to Point ZZ in quite the way he manages.

And I could probably wrack my poor brains ant try to think up some nice, big, fancy-schmancy term for what he did there...but I think you said it all.
