Hi Amanda. How are you doing? I can see you scootin' around and posting so I just thought I'd stop by and say hello. Life is tres weird at the moment, although it's genuinely happy most of the time I don't really have a lot to say around the floor much. Not that I don't click point and laugh click point and laugh an awful lot.

I am very fine, but very TIRED, as someone on one of my newsgroups linked me to something I can't post here for fear of the hounds of hell being unleashed on me (or, at the very least, the BBC poodles with a nasty case of halitosis), but it had to do with that AOL.exe virus hoax a while back and the guy who started it all (the shrine on his webpage to the hoax, more pointedly), and, needless to say, it was funny as hell and I stared at it for hours until my vision got all wobbly and my eyes started tearing up.

But the satellite TV installer guy is supposed to be here within the next couple of hours, and I was supposed to be awake when he got here, for some reason (J is also at home), so I think I'm going to be in hot water with the man. But I think I'll be okay.

Am I making any sense? Please, let me know.

Anyway, how is my Krissy doing? Is your mean ol' boss still in need of a proper hork-whompin'? I was meaning to swap "people I hate at work" stories with you, but I didn't see you around all that much lately...

I'm feeling better today. Andy leaves on Tuesday to go back to London for a month. It's a really good thing for him to do because he's been exceptionally homesick lately, and as much as he loves me he needs reassurances that it really only has been three months and London is still there and his family and friends still love him and want him.

Also, it HAS to be okay that he go home. If I wanted to throw a fit I wouldn't because if I lived in London it would HAVE to be okay if I wanted to fly back and see my mom.

He has to be there for a month because of weddings 'n stuff.

So my head is all for it.

My guts are churning though. We've only been married for two and a half months. I'm going to miss him so much. I don't care that he's going back to London, I just really really wish I was going with him.

*sigh*

Still, I'll survive. My mom is coming into town and all my friends know he's going and are banding together to keep me busy. I'm also going to start Tae Bo again while he's gone so I'll be a trimmer me when he gets back. Andy has been swimming every day and is really looking svelt... it's making me jealous.

I think I need to go and get my PhD in Psychology but I can't figure out how to do that and keep us in food and our great new apartment. Any ideas?

Remember: When it comes to flying to Cali, I am as scared of planes as you are and I've traveled 25 times in the past two years on 'em and never so much as an incident. My point is remember just 'cause you're scared doesn't mean that you're marked or anything. It'll be fun! ...well Cali will...not the flight...

J is really being a dear about all that flying junk. He's listened to be ramble on and on about every possible scenario that could happen to the plane while we were on it, and he's tolerated me being not-totally cool with the whole California thing. All in all, he lets me be silly even though he's thinking I am, and I know he thinks it and I'm okay with that because I am. Righto.

Actually, in a way it's close to your thingy. I'm really going because I want him to see his friends and family... it's the least I can do after keeping him hidden away in the closet for so long. I know he's homesick, and I want to do what's best for him--even if it means getting on a plane. I love him that much.

And I know you love Andy to pieces and you're going to love him even more after he's been gone for a while. And I hope he (and you!) have a great time in the interim... or at least a passable time 'til he gets back!

PhD...food...I'll have to think about that one for a while, but don't hold your breath. I've been trying to work that one out for the last five years.

Uh, J's in the closet now? huh.
