h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We've at last gotten the first snow of the season. It doesn't look like much more than an inch or two (ish), but it's finally here.

Almost time for me to dig out my winter jacket instead of just wearing my hooded sweatshirt...

We beat you to it.

But it didn't last.

I came close to snow once....

btw...why have you written the title in Scots?

And I've just hear it's started again at home! (which is slightly higher than I am)

There's snow forecast for tonight here, and sleet. Which doesn't suit me at all, since I'll be driving, and there's no roof over my seat...

So I intend to wrap up in as many layers as possible, even though we don't get Chicago-style cold here.

It hasn't actually gotten very cold here yet- it's currently about -4°C. Enough for snow, but not for bundling up. I did wear an actual jacket today but I was too warm.

Managed to find the one wee patch of ice at the top of the stairs at the train station and slip on it. My knee's going to have a hell of a bruise later. I don't normally slip on ice if I can see it, but it's still pretty dark when I get downtown.

Ed, I didn't actually mean to type the title in Scots, I missed hitting the "V" and we don't yet have the ability to edit typos.

No snow here, 'cept in the mountains. I'd like to go see it but they make you put chains to go to the mountains for even the tiniest amount of snow and I don't want to have to do that.

We hae mair wind. An' it's pishin' doon.

We had snow. Now it's raining, teperature over 0C, icy and slushy outdoors I miss the snow and the cold weather.
