Rabbits are lagomorphs smiley - winkeyesmiley - bunny

Sounds like a lot of pets, though! smiley - wow

Let's see.... My mother's parrot died about a week before I was born, so can't count him. But we've had cats and dogs, my father had water fleas and budgies, rats, mice, gerbils, sheep, a horse, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, a snake, and a woodpecker we raised from a chick who'd come back every year to visit...

But then, my parents are biologists, so it figures smiley - winkeye

Yeah, but it would have been awesome to have all those pets. Our place wasn't zoned for livestock- that's the reason my dad gave me why I couldn't have a pet elephant when I was six.

I want to have ponies, goats, and chickens at some point, as well as the requisite cats and perhaps a dog. smiley - smiley

Parents seem to be the same all over the Globe smiley - biggrin

At six (or so) I wanted a lion, and thought it could live at the balcony. After all I understood that it wouldn't fit inside our tiny one bedroom apartment. My parents didn't agree however so I never go any lion smiley - sadface

I got a smiley - cat when I was seven, but was only permitted to keep it until next summer. My grandfather shot it with his shotgun, and I buried it by a meadow next to my other grandparents house. Later I had a guinea pig who died of a tumour at the ripe age of four. Old age for a guinea pig what I remember.

I had dogs for a couple of years as newly wed. Then it turned out that both baby and father was allergic, smiley - sadface so the dogs had to move to other homes.

Finally, when allergic baby had grown up and left for Uni (and father was history) smiley - cat was adopted. She was then followed by smiley - blackcat and smiley - chocsmiley - cat.

I wouldn't mind a big red smiley - cat, but three cats in the Lair is really enough.

My mother says that she always asked for an elephant for Christmas in the hopes that she'd at least get a pony, which is what she really wanted...
