Now, where has the whole weekend gone?

Post 21

Kaz

Hi all
hope everyone has a happy day!

I am not too keen on The Young Ones or Bottom, it gets too nasty for me! Yep love the Fast Show though, and havn't heard of Meet the Feebles.

Mind has gone blank about tv shows, I do love some US ones though, ER, 6 feet under, even Sex in the City I'm afraid! I also watch Angel, Enterprise, Stargate, though one is getting a bit naff all US politics and no aliens.

I haven't watched Stargate or Enterprise before. I like ER, and also Law & Order, Monk, and Spongebob Squarepants. Monk is great, it's about a former cop with OCD who solves murders. It's really very funny, he's so quirky and has such meticulous attention for detail!

Meet the Feebles was one of Peter Jackson's first movies. (I forget now which one was *the* first) It's aout the sordid, seedy underbelly of life in a Mupper show. Drugs, sex, all kinds of neuroses and some really strange and puerile humor. It's awful, and one of my favorite films! smiley - laugh

I think I have heard of Meet the Feebles! I watched A Muppet Christmas not long ago, I thought it was lovely, the one where they lose the theatre to Joan Cusack and the show kermit how the world would be without him. It has take-offs of The Matrix and other greats, no porn though! smiley - laugh

I haven't seen that one yet, but I will have to. I adore john Cusack! And I love the Muppets! One day I hope to get the Muppet Show series on DVD.

>"Yep, John Cusack is lovely, but it was his sister Joan!!"<

Argh! I really need to get myself 1)a new monitor, which isn't so blurry, and 2)a bit more sleep!

All of the Cusacks are lovely people and really good actors. They grew up in, and last I heard, still lived, the Chicago area.

So, Kaz, how was your walk today? Is that bug you've been fighting finally starting to let up? smiley - hugsmiley - smoochsmiley - tea

Hiya Willem! Thanks for taking the time to read, and lots of smiley - love and smiley - hugs to you, too!

Thanks Willem, managed 5 1/2 miles yesterday, only 1 mile today as Moonglum has a sprained ankle and yesterday has left it sore.

Its getting easier to get out even though the agorophobia is there, and have a walk anyway. I reackon I will easily be walking 5 miles a day soon, which will help the weight loss no end!

May I ask, where do you walk, and how do you measure the distance you go?

In addition to all the exercise, and fresh air, I think all the walks will be beneficial to your psyche. How much less frightening it must be to get out when you're doing it for you, and not because you *have* to. smiley - smiley

I walk to the shops, the park, wherever I can. The shops are a focus which has to be done everyday, as I buy fresh everyday. At weekends, we try to out and walk longer distances, exploring new places in London or the Botanical Gardens, or a wood, galleries, anywhere that gets us out. I wear a pedometer, it may not be 100% accurate but from looking at maps, it doesn't seem too far out.

Yes, it is good that I am begining to feel that I have some control over my feelings again!

>Yes, it is good that I am begining to feel that I have some control over my feelings again!<

I'll second that! For both of us! It's good to leave the house and not be so afraid of what might happen while I'm out. It's good to be able to open and up and trust people again, especially my friends here. When people scoff at my friendships with people I've met here on h2, and ask why I don't have many "real life" friends, I can honestly say that most of the "realest" friends I've ever had are the ones I've made here. smiley - love

Walking to the shops sounds fun. I'm too lazy to stop most days on the way home from work, but I walk to the shops at weekends, and to the park. When the weather warms up a bit, it'll be nice to take the train downtown and walk around window-shopping, or to head down to the lake and walk around there. I love to lose myself among the trees, listening to the sounds the water makes. And feeding the ducks and squirrels!
